WordLife20 is a virtual a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the album WordLife: Tales of the Underground Griots. At the top of the millennium, over 20 Black canadian artists from 3 different cities – Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa – came together to create a powerful audio collection of spoken word, dub poetry, MCing and music.

Now 20 years later, WordLife20, produced by the Northern Griots Network (NGN), will include performances, panel discussions, and artist interviews centred around the continuing impact and future of African Canadian Spoken Word.
