Description:
The woman Represents the Griot, the Jeli telling the stories from ancient lands to the peak of western society. she narrates her stories with the kora a 21 string lute-bridge-harp.Her instrument is connected to her head where the stories reside. She reminds us about Sankofa the adinkra symbol illustrated as a bird reaching backwards to retrieve a jewel, which symbolically means it is not bad to reach back and get that which you have forgotten. As we tell our stories we begin to remold and rethink our current society, shaping a better future with the lessons we have learned from the past. The Griots tongue is as sharp as alligator teeth.
